Check whether you are in a paid parking zone and note the zone/subzone. Do not assume the whole city uses one tariff.
How to Pay for Parking in Poland
Many Polish cities have paid street-parking zones. You can use a parking meter, but a mobile app can be much easier — especially if your lunch, museum visit or meeting takes longer than planned.
SHORT ANSWER
In many cities, pay with moBILET instead of walking to a parking meter.
Add your registration number, choose the city and correct parking zone, start the session and keep the active e-ticket on your phone. Parking inspectors check the payment electronically using your vehicle registration number.
MOBILE PARKING
moBILET
Parking payments are supported in many Polish cities. Availability and local tariffs depend on the city.
How it works
Select the city and the correct SPP zone or the specific car park.
Add or choose the correct registration number. This is what the parking inspector will check.
Choose the expected time or the available open-ended option and confirm the payment.
You do not need to walk back to the car just because your plans change.
moBILET allows an active parking session to be ended or, when needed, extended from your phone.
THE BIG ADVANTAGE
Your restaurant visit takes an extra hour? Extend parking from the table.
No trip back to the car.
If you originally planned to park until 14:00 but lunch runs until 15:00, open moBILET and extend the active parking session before it expires. You do not need to walk to a meter, print another ticket or put a new slip behind the windscreen.
The app does not make an unpaid gap legal. Also check the zone carefully — starting a session in the wrong city sector can still result in an additional parking charge.
DO I NEED A PAPER TICKET?
Usually no — the registration plate is the proof link.
moBILET says that in cities where its parking service is available, its windscreen vignette is not currently compulsory. Parking controllers have their own system and verify the registration number remotely.
We created one simply to make it obvious that you used a mobile parking system. The actual payment still has to be active and linked to the correct registration number.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Is parking free on weekends?
It depends on the city and the exact zone. Warsaw's normal SPPN operates Monday–Friday, 08:00–20:00, so weekends are free. In central Gdańsk, the red Downtown Paid Parking Zone is charged every day, 09:00–20:00. Other Gdańsk sectors are generally weekday-only.
Read the sign or check the exact zone in your parking app.
NOT ONLY MOBILET
Check which apps the city accepts.
Polish cities can support several systems. For example, Sopot currently lists AnyPark, Citi Park App, ePark, Flowbird, moBILET, mPay and SkyCash. The signs or parking meter in the street are the safest source for the exact zone you are standing in.

Yes. moBILET allows you to extend an active parking session remotely from your phone.
